What Is MLA Referencing Style?
MLA stands for Modern Language Association. This referencing style is majorly used in humanities and arts to cite sources and write papers. Reference to an unpublished (not necessarily an original source) or a published source in an academic write- up is how citation is generally defined. WEBSITES: MLA website format requires a simple rule to be followed both in the case of citing in the reference list which is the last name of the author/s, first name if available, site name, institution/organization name associated with the site, sponsor, publisher, if available, year of resource creation. Medium of publication. Day Month Year of access and in the case of in-text citation the rule is (Author Last name /Website name).
BIBLIOGRAPHY: MLA bibliography format requires that your list of cited works should begin on a new page at the end of the paper with centrally located title, works cited. Then the entries in the list should be alphabetized by the author’s last name using letter by letter system ignoring the spaces and other punctuation. In the case of authors name being unknown, the title should be alphabetized ignoring a, an, the. With the month-day-year style put a comma after the year unless there is another punctuation mark.

MLA Paper Format
The fourth chapter of MLA Handbook and MLA style manual talks about how to write papers and manuscripts in MLA Style. Basic guidelines for MLA paper format for writing an MLA style paper are to form a soft copy and take print out in standard white 8.5* 11-inch paper in a times new roman font with double-spaced text and 12 font size.
